    It's a band instrument case latch. Nickel plated. It's new old stock. Ferree's T13, still in the unopened bag. 2-14/" long and 15/16" wide.
    According to the current Ferree's catalog: "
    These two case latches have a hidden talent. All the rivets and the top are completely covered when installed. With one finger the lever is raised to a vertical position. Let go and it pops open."
    I got them from the family a small-town professional musician, who, by day, fixed band instruments, who had a ton of old parts and tools, that I'm gradually listing.
