    Description

An amazing fossil coral geode from Georgia with 2 interior pockets of beautiful botryoidal formations composed of thick translucent amber agate. Edges fluoresce brightly under UV black light. Cut edge has been polished to a shine. This is a real showpiece and ready for the display case. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. Great collectors item. Photos taken dry.  Excellent addition to a rock, mineral, or fossil collection or for research or education.
    Approximate measurements are 5.5" x 2.5" x 2" and weight is 2 lbs.
Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and writing about it at zookeeperfossils on Blogger.  eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit.
Combined shipping is always available and I will refund excess postage through PayPal when needed.
    Thank you!
