    Description

Photos don't do this piece justice! A beautiful fossil coral geode from Georgia. Thick honey colored agate with a deep pocket of botryoidal formations mostly coated in matte white common opal. One side is translucent and gorgeous when held to the light. The cut edge fluoresces under UV black light. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral.  Very interesting piece. You will not be disappointed.
An excellent addition to a fossil, rock, or mineral collection.  Photos taken dry.
    Approx overall measurements are 3.5" x 2.5" x 2.5".
Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and writing about it at zookeeperfossils on Blogger.  eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit.
COMBINED SHIPPING IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE and I will refund excess postage through PayPal when needed.
    Thank you!
