Rare original antique engraving from an 1880s French illustrated journal.
It depicts the cutest Newfoundland dog family. A beautiful woman holds the puppies of a Landseer colored and a brown newfoundland. Tame deer and peacocks watch. So joyful and peaceful.
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area fills about half of the page and measures about 7.5 x 6 inches, with a French caption below. The text on the page could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
