Description

This is issue number 244 of the Los Angeles Free Press from 3/21/1969. The LA Freep wsa one fo the best known counterculture newspapers , aka underground presss, and published regularly for    years..It covered many concerns of the day, the various liberation and cultural movements that were happening , national ,international and local news, The War, the draft, the youth and psychedelic movements, Spirtuality, entertainment, a lot of incredible concert ads (it was LA after all) , from legendary venues,letters from readers, film, the sexual revoltion, classifieds and much more, with some top notch writers contributing.

The condition of this and the other issues I am listing is excellent. – light paper age, no tears, no holes, no folds other than the centerfold (as issued)..no fraying. One would be very hard pressed to find better condition than this. Tight..Looks like they were put away in 1968-69, maybe unread. For 55  newsprint , pretty amazing.
