FIDELITY ELECTRONICS CHESS CHALLENGER CC3 1978
    EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION
Built by Fidelity Electronics, Chicago, IL
Original Retail Price 9 in 1978.
This is the first ever tabletop AI/Computer game ever released for sale to the general public. It is a fully working piece of gaming history.  Includes the original wooden chess pieces.
Note, this is one of the rare FIRST EDITION (CC1-CC3) games with 3 difficulty levels.  The CC1 could make illegal moves which the CC3 corrected and many CC1's were upgraded to CC3's.  The more mass-produced game that came later on (around 1980) had 4 rows of buttons, not 3 and had 7 difficulty levels.
The three rows of buttons proves you are getting the true pioneering original.
Note the processor in this device is state of the art... for 1977, and it does take longer to make a move depending on the degree of difficulty selected. You can actually see the delay involved with making more calculations needed for a more advanced move.
