Reproduction 1800's Civil War UNION or CONFEDERATE SMOKING CAP Med-Large

During Victorian and Edwardian times, after dinner, gentlemen left the ladies and gathered to smoke their cigars and share a drink. In order to spare the ladies the smell of smoke gentlemen would frequently don their "smoking jacket and smoking cap" which could be removed, along with the smoke smell.
Civil War reenactors enjoy wearing the warm caps on a cool evening around the campfire. These are of course, not uniform items, but rather something that might have been stitched up by a soldier's wife or loved one, or even by the soldier himself from a scrap of wool and with a hand made tassel and a uniform button. Smoking caps are a great accessory, suitable for many eras and uses.
These caps are all sized either medium or large.  The round caps are 22" in circumference for size medium and 24" for size large, 26" for extra large and  are about 3 to 3 3/4" tall. All are made of period correct fabrics, (except as noted). They have an inner lining of quilt batting, for warmth, and are lined with a comfortable cotton or flannel lining.All of the buttons used are authentic reproductions of original Civil War buttons. These are new, unused caps, from Turtle Run Mercantile.

It has a sky blue hand made 100%  cotton tassel held in place by an CSA brass button. It is lined with light blue cotton broadcloth.

It has a sky blue hand made 100%  cotton tassel held in place by an CSA brass button. It is lined with black and white cotton broadcloth.

Size extra large 100% wool cap of fine, navy blue Pendleton wool
, with an artillery red, hand-made 100% cotton tassel held in place with a Federal (USA) Eagle button with the A for Artillery on the shield. It is lined with navy blue 100% cotton.

Size large 100% wool cap of fine, navy blue Pendleton wool
, with a bright red, hand-made 100% cotton tassel held in place with a Federal (USA) Eagle button with the A for artillery on the shield. It is lined with  navy blue 100% cotton.
#5 (Pictures 9 and 10)
Size large 100% wool cap, with a cavalry yellow hand made tassel and a reproduction CSA button made by Waterbury buttons.
