Women's Victorian Civil War Taffeta Dress & Bonnet Handmade Misses size 2. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
A Victorian dress handmade of dark blue taffeta. The dress looks nice with or without the cottage bonnet, which ties with a matching bow.
Item includes dress and bonnet only.
Does not include a hoop skirt
, which is worn in the pictures. Dress and bonnet have been worn around ten times and are still in good condition.
The dress is made of 100% nylon taffeta with bishop sleeves. The bodice is lined with cotton muslin, and closes with brass-colored pewter buttons and hook-and-eyes (see pictures). Bodice has back princess seams and the front is darted. Sleeve cuffs close with matching buttons. Skirt is pleated and separate from the bodice, and has two elastic straps attached to be worn like suspenders to hold the dress up beneath the bodice.
Bonnet is made of cream-colored matte satin, fleece, cotton muslin, ribbon, faux flowers, and has a wire rim.
All seams are finished.

Was made to fit a hoop skirt with a bottom hoop circumference of 120", but the hoop worn in the pictures is only about 100" wide.
The model is 5' 2" tall.
Flaw: One sleeve cuff (the wearer's right) is slightly smaller (circumference) than the other.
Care:
Dress: Do not iron or bleach. Hand wash in cold water or machine wash on the delicate setting, hang dry.
Bonnet: Hand clean only.
