Vintage Asian Japanese Hand Painted Fans, Lot Of 6.
Very nice collection of vintage fans.
#1 End pieces are mother of pearl, hand painted on fabric, decoration on bamboo is in gold and red. There are a few small holes on the seams, difficult to spot in the pictures. Stamped “Made in Occupied Japan on the back.”
#2 Flowers are hand painted on paper. There are a few small holes on the seams. “Stamped Made in Occupied Japan.”
#3. Hand painted on paper. Stamped “Made in Occupied in Japan.”
#4. Hand painted on fabric. End pieces are mother of pearl. There are also mother of pearl diamonds on the bamboo along with gold decorations. Stamped “Made in Japan” on the back. There are a few small holes on the fabric difficult to see in the photos.
#5. Hand painted on fabric. The bamboo has been stained a reddish brown color and decorated with gold. Stamped “Japan” on a sticker on the back.
#6. This fan has been hand painted on bamboo with a lovely purple fabric woven into the top.
